What is the difference between a C7 and a Corvette?

Both the C7 and the Corvette relate to the same vehicle, the Chevrolet Corvette.

The C7 designation refers to a specific generation of the Corvette, while the Corvette is a generic word for any form of the sports automobile.

The Corvette C7 generation was manufactured from 2014 to 2019,

and it represented a considerable improvement in design, engineering, and technology when compared to prior models.

The C7 had a totally new external design, a re-engineered chassis, and a slew of modern technology,

including as a new infotainment system, improved driver-assistance capabilities, and a new small-block V8 engine.
